In January we shared our plans to hold our second World Autism Day Walk /Run for 2020 at our Centre in Dar es salaam, Tanzania.
We are writing to let you know that after much consideration and in light of the ongoing developments resulting from the covid-19, including the health and safety of participants, gathering restrictions and economic impacts we have made the tough decision to cancel this event.
Our Centre provides a unique opportunity for our special children, students’ family and friends, members, corporate organizations government officials and well wishes individuals to come together every year to walk/run for autistic people in Tanzania as Voice and Hope for them and make others learn from us and make important decisions about the work of Inclusion locally and internationally.
Whilst we are disappointed we will not be able to meet face to face this year we are developing a plan for the next year to be able to conduct the event even better.
We will share the plans for the next event with you when they have been developed.
The uncertainty about how this pandemic will evolve and the impact it will have on our global movement may also affect our future events, including our 2021 World Autism Day. We are monitoring the situation closely while considering our options and will keep you informed of any developments.
We thank you for your understanding and your support during these unprecedented times. We look forward to your contribution to a successful 2021 Event.
